To provide all University of Illinois students interested in marketing with the opportunity to develop themselves professionally, achieve personal growth, and foster relationships with a diverse group of business professionals and fellow students, while learning about marketing’s essential role in a dynamic business environment.

Our History.

The American Marketing Association was established at the University of Illinois in 1948, making it the first collegiate AMA chapter in the nation. With over 100 members, AMA is one of the University’s largest registered student organizations and students of all majors are welcome to join. AMA at Illinois strives to provide its members with comprehensive exposure to all aspects of marketing and the organization hosts a variety of professional, social, and philanthropic events throughout the year.

 

In recent years, AMA has received the “Distinguished Chapter Award” from the International AMA office for ranking within the top 8 out of 145 collegiate chapters across the United States and Canada.
