What we do

The American Marketing Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is a student organization which provides all UIUC students interested in marketing with the opportunity to develop themselves professionally, achieve personal growth, and foster relationships with a diverse group of business professionals and fellow students, while learning about marketing’s essential role in a dynamic business environment.

Marketing Experience

We know the importance of having real-world Marketing experience before graduation. Therefore, we have set up committees for students to understand and practice their passions. We have a Marketing Consulting, Digital Marketing, and Promotions committee which provide an enriching team-based experience for our members.

Community Outreach

AMA believes it is very important to give back to the Champaign-Urbana community. Members of our chapter partner with a variety of community service events such as iHelp Homecoming, Career Fair volunteering, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and Salt n Light. 

Professional Development

We want to give our members the best career opportunities after graduation. We build awareness of various Marketing fields and careers, and provide opportunities to attain desired jobs. Aside from gaining real consulting experience in the marketing field, we also participate in case competitions and regional conferences, host company presentations and teach valuable resume building and interviewing skills to our members.

Social Events

We host exciting and creative events to help our members get to know everyone within and outside of their committees. Each year, we’ve held a variety of activities and events such as burger nights, ice skating, volleyball, scavenger hunts, etc.
